A bar for a lonely, alcoholic man who has an obsession with people watching.
The idea of these spaces was to create an isolated vantage point for the character, which allows him to people watch with his presence being unnoticed by the lively social environment of a bar. This was achieved through utilising the organisation of the spaces and employing similar techniques such as lighting and texture to those of Hopper in his painting, Nighthawks.

Side
The key feature of these spaces is the lighting device, which filters the social environments view of the characters vantage point. Through the relationahip of the spaces angles of roofs and windows the character is able look down through the light whilst the social environments view of the navigation space is being prevented with it directly facing into the light.

Nighthawks - Edward Hopper
Initially, my attention was drawn to the lively social environment of the couple in the background, but after closer examination, I noticed the character with his back turned and how interesting this was. Hopper was able to draw attention away from him, through utilising light and texture, which allowed for him to tp appear unnoticed and therefore focused on the mystery surrounding him. He seems to be drinking on his own in what appeared to be a bar, which inclined my perception of this character to be similar to that of a modern day alcoholic bar fly. This therefore shaped the idea behind my narration:
A bar for a lonely, alcoholic man who has an obsession with people watching.
With the objective to create of the series of spaces that embody the needs of this character through employing similar ideas and techniques to those used by hopper.
